Karya-karya Rembulan merupakan rangkaian ingatan, kesadaran dan mimpi yang menjadi kesatuan tubuh. Pemandangan dari kampung halaman, kucing-kucing peliharaan, wajah-wajah orang yang ditemui, hantu-hantu, semua dilukis Rembulan dengan landasan kasih sayang yang terkadang dibumbui kesedihan, kemarahan, atau kegelisahan.

Hai Rembulan

is the name that serves as a home for her art and crafts.

Since 2013, Hai Rembulan has actively produced zines and has created more than 70 to date. She describes her work as a vessel for dreams and everyday life, often exploring themes related to women’s and queer experiences, such as menstruation, PMDD, and sexuality.

Her work also delves into the relationship between humans and nature, agrarian issues, land struggles, spirituality, ancestors, nostalgia, and stories from her childhood.

Rather than confining herself to a single medium, Hai Rembulan enjoys experimenting with various media and techniques. In addition to zines, she operates a small shop selling paintings, hand-painted and embroidered linen clothing, handmade merchandise, trinkets, and local vegetarian food she prepares.
